About fiberglass composite​

Fiberglass is made of glass. The glass will be heated up until it melts and then it will be forced through micro tiny holes to get the thin fibers. These fibers will be vowed together to the fiberglass surfacing mat (tissue)


Fiberglass is used as strength giving material for formation of light and very strong composite – GRP (glass-reinforced plastic; in German "Glasfaserverstärkter Kunststoff" – GFK; in French “plastique renforcé de fibres de verre”; in Spanish “Plástico Reforzado con Fibra de Vidrio” P.R.F.V.; in Russian “cтеклопластик”)
