Dansk Polyglas A/S has developed, manufactured and delivered special translucent fiberglass wall panels to the pump station by the River of Skjern in cooperation with award-winning Danish architecture firm Johansen Skovsted Arkitekter. Fiberglass panels function as light source at upper staircase to the viewing platform and create a homogeneous expression in the interaction between the materials (fiberglass-wood-concrete), architecture and nature. Fiberglass unique durability capabilities, no need for maintenance and corrosion resistance – these are all features what fit well into the harsh environment close to North Sea and meet the future demands of modern architecture.
